Following pickup at your accommodation in central Rome, meet your private guide and depart in a private vehicle for your tour of the holy sites of Rome.
Your first stop will be the Patriarchal Basilica of St. Mary Major, the first church in Rome dedicated to the Virgin Mary. See the final resting place of Pope Paul V, an image of the blessed Mary and Child attributed to the Evangelist St. Luke, and planks of wood believed to be part of Jesus' crib.
Continue to visit to the Basilica of Saint Praxedis, an ancient titular church near St. Mary Major. At the Basilica of The Holy Cross in Jerusalem, learn how St. Helen, mother of the Emperor Constantine the Great, brought soil from Jerusalem so that the church could be built on Jerusalem. This site is home to a small piece of the Holy Cross, a Nail, the description plaque, and thorns from the Crown, as well as Doubting Thomas’ finger.
Visit the Holy Steps, a Passionist monastery, which contains the marble steps to the palace of Pontius Pilate. Then, take a break for lunch; your guide will suggest a nearby restaurant or you can choose your own (own expense).
After lunch, visit the Papal Arc-Basilica of St. John in the Latheran. Continue to the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Wall, dedicated to St Paul the apostle.
Return to your Rome hotel for drop-off after your tour has concluded.
