Receive an included pickup in the morning from your Cádiz hotel and head to the ancient city of Medina Sidonia. Known to be one of the oldest settlements in Europe, this timeless urban area has roots that date back to the Phoenicians and Romans.
During your visit, you have a chance to admire the city’s historic architecture and unique art collections. See the Santos Mártires Hermitage, one of the oldest examples of Visigoth art in all of Andalusia, and check out Medina Sidonia’s numerous medieval arches including the Arco del Sol, Arco de la Pastora, and Arco de Belén, all of which date from between the 10th and 15th centuries. You also get to explore the remnants of a ruined castle built on top of an old Muslim fortress, and see the Torrestrella Castle dating from between the 12th and 14th centuries.
Continue to an Andalusian ranch which raises the region’s famous horses and a herd of wild bulls. Get an intimate look at the daily life of these iconic Spanish animals while learning about local agricultural practices.
