Depart from your Bali hotel, traveling to your first stop of the day at the
Ulun Danu Bratan Temple on Lake Bratan. This 16th-century temple, located on the shores of scenic Lake Beratan, plays an important role in the worship and management of local water delivered to nearby farmers.
When your temple visit is done, continue on to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jatilwuh rice terraces, enjoying views of the surrounding bright-green terraced hillsides dedicated to cultivation of this important farm crop. While on site you’ll also learn about the ‘subak,’ an intricate irrigation system used by local farmers for centuries to manage water used in the fields. You’ll cap off your visit by enjoying lunch overlooking the rice terraces.
After lunch, head to the Batukaru Temple, situated on the slopes of Mt. Batukaru, where you can admire the site’s 7-tiered tower dedicated to Mahadewa, the mountain’s deity.
After your temple visit, receive a drop off back at your Bali hotel by the mid-afternoon.
