Begin your tour with a pickup by your private driver at your Cusco hotel. Visit the old Inca walls at Chinchero and learn how the vibrant Peruvian textiles are made using ancient weaving techniques.
Continue your journey through the Sacred Valley, past lush fields, and visit the circular terraces of Moray, where the Incas grew their crops. Then head to Maras, where you can still find people mining pink salt in more than 3,000 shallow pools.
Board the train at Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the town of Machu Picchu, where you spend the night in a 3-star hotel. Here you have the option of visiting the hot springs or enjoying the village.
The next day, before sunrise, your guide meets you at your hotel to take the bus to the ancient Incan citadel. Catch the sunrise at the top while your guide escorts you around the grounds for a walking tour of the history of the ruins.
In the afternoon, take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and then a private vehicle back to Cusco.
