Private Temples and Local Village from Siem Reap

Summary

Day 1: Full-day tour of Angkor Temples Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Reap, then board a climate-controlled vehicle for a day of exploring the temples (entrance fees at Angkor own-expense). The first stop of the day is the spectacular Angkor Wat, the largest religious building in the world. Walk through stone halls filled with incense and shrines, then see the gods and demons that line the southern approach to Angkor Thom. Climb into Bayon Temple, where more than 200 faces look out from elaborate towers, and see the stone animals at the Elephant Terrace. Pause for lunch within the temples, then head to Ta Prohm, among the most atmospheric of Angkor’s temples, with tree roots wrapping crumbling stone structures. Catch a sunset at Pre Rup temple, finishing the day with drop-off at your hotel. Day 2: Half-day tour of Tonle Sap Lake Meet the guide at your hotel in the morning, then travel to Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Upon arrival at the lake join a scenic cruise to a floating village, passing small communities, farms, and aquaculture at the edge of the water. Following your time at Tonle Sap, return to Siem Reap for a final stop at Artisans d’Angkor, ideal for browsing high-quality, locally-made handicrafts. This tour concludes with drop-off in Siem Riap.
