Receive a morning pickup from your Barcelona hotel after which you’ll drive for 62 miles (100 kilometers) aboard private vehicle to the ancient Roman city of Tarragona.
Spend the first part of your day exploring the ancient marvels of the city the Romans once called “Tarraco,” home to infrastructure that dates back thousands of years. Stop by the “Devil’s Bridge,” a 711-foot (217-meter) long aqueduct that provides evidence of the Romans’ sophisticated engineering skill. You’ll continue on a walking tour of the city, strolling past monuments including one of the best-preserved “circuses” (Roman stadiums) in Europe, the city’s ancient forum, and the city’s 2nd-century amphitheater along the seashore.
Leaving Tarragona, continue by private vehicle on to Sitges, a charming seaside fishing village that’s been transformed into a hip resort destination. Wander through the city streets as you admire the colorful fishing houses and hip atmosphere of boutiques, eateries, and street performers. After finishing your visit to Sitges, receive a transfer back to Barcelona and a drop-off at your hotel.
