Private Shore Excursion: Punta Loma Natural Reserve

Prior to your tour date, inform the tour operator of your ship's docking time in port and arrange your preferred pickup time. Meet your guide outside of the port gates and board a private tour vehicle for the 10-mile (17-km) ride from Puerto Madryn to Punta Loma. 

Disembark and walk along Punta Loma's interpretive trails, learning about the area's origins and its designation as the first natural preserve in the Province of Chubut, dedicated to preserve and protect the colony of South American sea lions. 

Spend an hour exploring, observing the sea lions and the many bird species from the vantage point of the cliffs. This private tour ensures personalized attention from your guide and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. 

On the way back to Puerto Madryn, stop by Punta Cuevas to see the monument to the native Tehuelche Indian and views of the city beyond. End your tour with drop-off back at the cruise port.

Punta Loma is a reserve where we can see hairy sea lions and it is located 17 kilometers at the south of Puerto Madryn. Apart from sea lions, several types of birds, like the Rockers Cormorants, who build their nests in the cliffs over the sea, live there.
