There’s also the magnificent mountains surrounding Jaipur and the lovely Sagar Lake. Jaipur is known as a shopper’s paradise and I can escort you to old markets to wander through colorful stalls, introduce you to merchants at some of my favorite addresses or, if you prefer, just leave you to make your own way through the treasures of my town – jewelry and gemstones that are famed the world over, silks and woodblock print cottons exported throughout India and beyond, elegant blue pottery and carpets of every color and style. Finally, to fuel all this activity we have to eat, and I can introduce you to places that are part of why Jaipur is known for its amazing food. We can take chai on a rooftop terrace, eat Biriyani from a healthy street vendor or dine in places you’d be unlikely to find on your own but will never forget. Will you join me in Jaipur?
