Summary

Participants meet up with their guide at a pre-designated Sausalito waterfront location. Here they receive a brief overview of the activity, teams are defined, roles are assigned, material handed out and ground rules for the treasure hunt explained. Teams stroll out to the boat docks where they find the treasures, write poems, draw pictures, keep score, and then return to designated meet-up location for the awards ceremony. Sometimes we meet up in a park, sometimes at an outdoor venue or local restaurant. Winning team gets first pick of awards offered. These awards are not included in the price of the treasure hunt. Special arrangements can be made or participants can provide their own awards. When you ask us to provide awards, we bring local Sausalito artists and authors to you by offering a selection of waterfront artwork, greeting cards and the Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour guide book.

Why take this tour?

Stroll, read, write poetry, sing songs, create art and win the prize!! From the Captain, First Mate, Navigator, Signal Man, Photographer, Journalist and Artist, all will play their part to ensure their team takes home the best prizes. Using the Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour guide book, a list of clues, compass and timer, participants will be required to pool their knowledge in order to locate Sausalito's hidden treasures - The wooden boats and historic vessels that grace our shore. When the teams return to home base, the scores will be tallied and prizes distributed. This activity takes about two to two and a half hours to complete.
