The day begins when your air-conditioned private transport collects you from your Santorini accommodation for the short journey to Vlychada Marina. Board your private catamaran and set sail for Red Beach (Akrotiri), named for the iron-rich mineral formations that give the rocks and sand their color. From here, sail to White Beach, a serene setting that’s only reachable by boat: You’ll have plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling here.
From White Beach, you’ll cruise the Venetian Lighthouse and Indian Rocks, before you enter the caldera, the edge of the giant underwater volcanic crater formed when Thera island erupted around 3,500 years ago. Look up at the whitewashed houses of Fira and Imerovigli that cling to the cliffs of Santorini before you soak in the volcanic hot springs that pump sulfur-rich waters into the ocean.
Finally, land on the little islet of Palea Kameni and savor a traditional Greek barbecue meal with beer, Greek wine, and soft drinks. After you return to port, your minivan will transport you back to your accommodation.
