Beginner and intermediate rock climbers learn basics from an experienced private guide, skills such as how to select proper equipment, knot-tying, belaying, and descending. Once you know the basics, your group ascends one of the colossal red rock towers that soars above the park, which is a National Natural Landmark.

From atop the formation, take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, ponderosa pine forests, and, if you're lucky, a glimpse of the resident bighorn sheep herd. The thrills continue on the descent, where you test out your newfound belay skills.
