This private climbing adventure begins at Colorado Springs’ Garden of the Gods. Beginner and intermediate rock climbers learn basics from an experienced private guide, skills such as how to select proper equipment, knot-tying, belaying, and descending. Once you know the basics, your group ascends one of the colossal red rock towers that soars above the park, which is a National Natural Landmark.
From atop the formation, take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, ponderosa pine forests, and, if you're lucky, a glimpse of the resident bighorn sheep herd. The thrills continue on the descent, where you test out your newfound belay skills.
