Tour info
Why take this tour?
Enjoy this full-day tour as we head south of Quito and driving through the Avenue of the Volcanoes passing through by the towns of Latacunga and Pujilí. On the way, to Quilotoa we will stop to visit an indigenous local house from the “Paramos”, but the most important thing is that we are going to be with them in a typical indigenous house made of straw. we will be sharing with them a short moment talking, watching, and learning from them, about their life, the animals. We will also visit the town of Tigua, famous for its native paintings. We will continue up to Zumbahua and Quilotoa village at 3600 m.a.s.l. (11800 feet) here we will have the best viewpoint to see Quilotoa Lagoon, where you will be able to descend inside the crater for almost 2 hours round trip or just walk around it. After the activities, we will have lunchtime in a local restaurant. Before coming back to Quito we will stop in the “Toachi” canyon to watch this amazing geological formation from the Andean Highlands.
