Elephant Trunk Hill – The outline of the hill looks like an elephant, which is drinking water on the Li River. The local people like the hill so much that they use the hill as the pattern on the Guilin’s city badge. The hill has been the most popular tourist attraction in Guilin for over 1,000 years.

Fubo Hill – It is said a general called Ma Yuan tested his sword on the hill 2,000 years ago and he enjoyed a reputation of “Fubo”, which means stop wave in a river in Chinese language. So the hill was named after the general. The terrace on the 63-meter-high hill is a good place to admire the city view of Guilin.

Reed Flute Cave – It is a karst cave formed over a million years ago. People used to hide in the cave during war times. After the Second World War, there is no need to hide, so local people reported this wonderland to the government to develop tourism. The karst views decorated by colorful lights are the highlights in the cave. There are also frescos and ancient poems carved on the wall of the cave.
