This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Enjoy a walking market tour with Antonella and her husband through the streets of Florence. They will introduce you to the local food market nearby, where you will visit their favorite cheese and vegetable vendors, taste a few delicious samples, and talk with them and other local vendors about ingredients, recipes and Italian food traditions. Then return home to enjoy your traditional Italian cooking lesson and meal in Antonella's kitchen. Learn to cook 3-4 authentic, Italian dishes and enjoy them together at the dining table after cooking over Tuscan wine.
Antonella offers four different menus to choose from:
1. Traditional Tuscan: Red wine beef stew in red wine or chicken with mushrooms and balsamic vinegar, a pasta of tagliatelle, gnocchi or ravioli with seasonal vegetables, and dessert.
2. Sicilian: Pasta alla norma, involtini (stuffed beef or pork loin) and cannoli di ricotta
3. Vegetarian: Cecina, minestrone or ribollita soup, eggplant parmigiana and chocolate crostata
4. Vegan: Cecina, minestrone or ribollita soup, artichoke caponata, cinnamon and chocolate pudding
