Begin the morning at Lisbon’s oldest pastry shop, where locals gather daily. A selection of freshly baked sweet pastries is paired with a classic Portuguese espresso. This is your introduction to the city’s café culture with time to savor each bite.

Continue to one of Lisbon’s last traditional grocery stores, a place where culinary heritage is preserved. Here, you'll hear about the significance of salt cod in Portuguese cuisine comes to life and taste acorn-fed Iberian ham.

A short walk leads to a historic family-run stall known for its sour cherry liqueur. This quick but memorable stop highlights a beloved Lisbon tradition, with time to enjoy the drink and hear how it became a local staple.

Next is a lively neighborhood bar famous for its bifana, a marinated pork sandwich. The atmosphere is energetic, offering a glimpse into everyday Lisbon life while enjoying one of its most iconic street foods.

  • This tour requires uphill and downhill walking on uneven streets, including a couple of fairly steep streets. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty and we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Cancellation Notes: Cancellations received greater than 7 days prior to tour commencement are fully refundable. Cancellations received within 7 days of tour commencement are nonrefundable. Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes. Late arrivals and no shows are nonrefundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.
