Aside from food the market specializes in high-quality silks, handicrafts, ceremonial wedding garb, hanbok (traditional clothing), lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl.  Moving on, pay a visit to Cheonggyecheon, a modern public recreation space that offers urban dwellers a respite from the bustling capital. Then explore the Dongdaemun District, including Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), a futuristic architectural attraction and urban development project that includes museums, galleries, exhibition halls, and events. Wander on foot while you learn about the newly minted landmark and cultural park.
