Your walking tour starts with pickup at select Budapest hotels or a designated central location. Meet your private guide, and set off on your journey of Hungarian wine, learning about the country's winemaking heritage along the way.
Listen as your guide shares information about varietals such as bikaver, aka 'bull's blood,' aszú sweet wine, and furmint, which are from the Tokaj wine region, and hear about grapes cultivated here, such as chardonnay and riesling. During your walk, stop at Budapest landmarks like the Hungarian State Opera House, Gozsdu Courtyard (Gozsdu Udvar), and Andrássy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visit up to four bars to taste white, red, and rosé wines; you'll receive three tastings at each bar. At the last stop, the wine is paired with Hungarian food specialties.
You'll spend about 45 minutes at each bar. Your tour ends in central Budapest.
