Our Beatrix Potter's Favourite Countryside Private Tour is the perfect tour for small groups of families or friends who wish to have a more intimate experience whilst travelling the Lake District. Our 6 seater Mercedes Viano is a luxury, comfortable minibus which will allow you to explore the Lakes in style.

This half day tour introduces you to the incredible landscapes and cultures which shaped Beatrix Potter's incredible stories. Travel through valleys and forests and visit the beauty spots which inspired her work which is beloved the world over.

You will take a lake cruise, where you can marvel at the beauty of the Lake District from the tranquil waters themselves. If the cruise is cancelled an alternative extra will be included in the tour.

Tour Type
This tour is a guided scenic mini-coach tour, but there are times when you will have the option to walk up to a few hundred metres to take in a view or point of interest.
Lunch Stop
You will stop briefly in Hawkshead, a small Lakeland village. There are a number of pubs, cafes and shops located here. Due to the limited time of the tour, this stop is not an official lunch stop.
Lake Cruise
We predominately cruise on Windermere. Please note we reserve the right to change this due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control.
Clothing & Footwear
We suggest you wear comfortable and sensible footwear, we also recommend bringing a light raincoat.
