Private Half-Day Tour to De Martino Winery from Santiago

Start your day with a pickup from your central Santiago hotel by private vehicle, then soak up the scenery as you leave the city behind and head south into the rolling vineyards of the Maipo Valley. After around an hour’s drive, arrive at the De Martino wine estate, where you’ll be greeted by your hosts for a private tour of the winery. Hear how De Martino is Chile's second-largest producer of organic wines as you stroll the vineyards and discover the secrets of the winemaking process, from cultivating the vines and the importance of ‘terroir’, to harvesting, processing and aging the wines. Continue into the wine cellars to view the fermentation tanks, the bottling and labeling plant, and the gigantic wooden casks in which the wines are aged. After touring the winery, follow your guide to the tasting room, where you’ll have chance to sample three of De Martino’s award-winning wines. Before returning to the city, spend some time visiting a selection of wine shops with your guide, where you’ll have chance to sample or purchase a range of Maipo Valley wines (own expense). Your tour concludes with a drop-off back at your Santiago hotel. Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
