Begin with pickup at your Prague accommodations at the time of your choosing, then make the 1-hour trip to Terezín in a limousine with a private driver/guide. Stop at the entrance to Terezín to pay entrance fees, which are not included in the tour, then continue to the Small Fortress, which served as a Gestapo-run prison for roughly 32,000 political prisoners during the Second World War. Explore the Big Fortress that was transformed into a ghetto in wartime, a transit point for almost all the Czech Jewish people murdered by Nazis. Visit the Ghetto Museum to learn the stories of some of the people who were imprisoned in the former fortress, and see the men’s and women’s dormitories. Visit a secret chapel where ghetto inhabitants held hidden services, then make a final stop at the Crematorium.
