Summary

Once you get picked up from the airport or your hotel by your tour guide , you will travel to Bhaktapur which is 12km from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur was always described as the best preserved but unfortunately, the 2015 earthquake caused the terrible devastation and lost of lives. Nevertheless, only a few temples were destroyed and there are still so much to see. Walk around Bhaktapur Durbar Square and inhale the rich history of the place. After absorbing as much as you can, travel to Changu Narayan Temple, one of the valley’s oldest existing temples believed to have been constructed in the third or fourth century. The pagoda that you will see is dedicated to Vishnu, whose ten incarnations are molded in its structure and the temple has other elaborate wood carvings, some sculptures and metal work. Once exploring the temple, you will be driven back to your hotel or the airport.
