After being picked up from your central Seville hotel, make an early start and head east to Granada. Soak up the scenery as you wind through the Sevillian countryside, passing pretty villages such Estepa, Antequera and Loja, and listen as your guide offers an introduction to Andalusia’s rich heritage.
On arrival in Granada, make a beeline for the city’s most renowned landmark, the magnificent Alhambra Palace, a mighty palace-fortress built in the 13th century and perched on a hilltop between Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Learn how the vast complex of palaces was once home to the Nasrid dynasty as you follow your guide around the lavish Nasrid Palace, discover the ruins of the Alcazaba fortress and stroll around the idyllic Generalife Gardens.
Leaving the palace grounds behind, continue to the old Moorish quarter of Albaicin, where you can marvel at the distinctive architecture and enjoy spectacular views of the Alhambra. Back in central Granada, enjoy free time to take in the city sights independently, shop for souvenirs or tuck into lunch (own expense) at one of the many traditional tapas bars.
After a full-day exploring the city, journey back to Seville, where your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
