Start off with pickup at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, then head to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
On arrival, watch a documentary about the Vietnam War, learning how the Viet Cong used the tunnels during battle.
Visit the museum to see exhibits including the smokeless Hoang Cam stove, and explore some tunnels. You even get a chance to sample manioc, a cassava dish that sustained the guerrillas.
Stop at a local restaurant for lunch (included) on your way to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta.
Then, drive to the port and ride a motorboat to Con Lan island to sample honey tea and fruit jam, and tour a village. Enjoy a canal rowboat ride before returning to the main boat and cruising to a coconut candy factory. See how the candy is made and sample a piece before an onboard lunch and visit to a fruit garden, complete with a folk music performance.
Your trip then concludes at the Ho Chi Minh starting point.
