Your private evening begins at the first of five small local businesses in the Oltrarno district, where your local guide introduces you to Florence’s aperitivo culture. With a plate of regional cheeses, bruschette, focaccia and Chianti Classico, you can settle in and learn how these flavors shape everyday life in the city. From there, your guide leads you to one of Florence’s historic wine windows for a glass of Prosecco. While you'll find wine windows all over Florence, there are only a few that are active, making this stop extra memorable.
Next, visit a neighborhood wine bar and learn how to make your own Negroni. Step by step, you will learn how Florence’s signature cocktail is balanced and prepared while enjoying warm schiacciata and cold cuts. As you sip your cocktail, you can relax, ask questions, and enjoy one-on-one conversation with your guide about Florence food culture or about daily life in Florence.
Dinner follows at a family-run trattoria where the Florentine steak is the highlight of the meal. The evening concludes at an artisan gelateria, where your guide helps you choose among seasonal flavors crafted with organic ingredients. It is the perfect finale to a personal culinary journey through one of Florence’s most authentic neighborhoods. By the end of the evening, you will have learned the tips and tricks from your guide to dine out like a Florentine for the rest of your trip.
