Tour Stops Description:

1. Ourense: Outariz Japanese-Style Hot Spring Spa

Our first stop takes you to the Outariz Hot Spring Spa, a heavenly oasis offering tranquility and relaxation with its Japanese-inspired architecture featuring an open pyramidal wooden roof, tree trunk columns, bamboo garden, and pools decorated with big rocks. The cherry on top of the cake is that your eyes will be delighted with the striking beauty of the scenery surrounding the Miño River.

It is no coincidence that the city is known as the 'Thermal Capital of Galicia.’ At this spa, you’ll experience first-hand Ourense’s healing mineral-rich waters that will do good to both your body and mind. At the spa, you'll enjoy numerous pools with different water temperatures varying between 30°C and 42°C degrees. There are also cold water pools, so you can get the health benefits of contrast bathing.

2. Ourense: Public Hot Spring Pools

On our second tour stop will visit the public hot spring pools at 'Outariz y Burga de Canedo.’ The thermal waters that fill these pools are quite special because they come straight from the depths of the earth and flow directly from the sprout into the pool at temperatures around 60º C. There are three hot water pools and one cold water pool for doing contrast bathing.

The area around the public hot spring pools is surrounded by nature with plenty of trees, flowers, and singing birds. The locals come to this place to walk, run and cycle as along the riverbanks there are several kilometres of well-maintained trails offering breathtaking views of the serene landscape. The gentle rustling of leaves and the soothing sounds of the flowing river create a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities.

3. Ourense: Historic Centre

In our third stop, we'll stroll through the small cobblestone streets of Ourense's historical centre. We’ll start off at ‘As Burgas’, an iconic stone fountain with three sprouts, each one pouring a torrent of boiling thermal water. Then, we’ll move on to the main square of the city to see the imponent city hall and the intricate facade of the Santa Maria Nai Church.

Next, we’ll visit the magnificent Ourense Cathedral, a stunning masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Its intricate facade and awe-inspiring interior reveal centuries of history and cultural significance. Afterwards, we’ll see the jaw-dropping facade of Santa Eufemia Church. Then, we’ll visit ‘O Liceo,’ jewel of the renaissance architecture. Finally, we’ll walk along the city’s main pedestrian street, which not by accident is called ‘O Paseo.’ literally ‘the stroll.’

4. Celanova: Sightseeing Tour

Our fourth stop takes you to the small but remarkable city of Celanova with its medieval stone streets and architectural marvels. The highlight here is the San Salvador Monastery with its colossal stone facade and its impressive cloister that is, adorned with intricate sculptures and archways, showcasing the splendid craftsmanship of the Baroque era.

In close proximity, the San Salvador Church stands as a testament to Celanova's religious and historical significance. Its imposing structure and timeless charm make it a must-visit site. As you stroll through the medieval stone streets, the city unfolds its secrets. The Main Square offers a delightful blend of local charm and historical ambiance. The vibrant city market is a hub of local flavors and culture. Lastly, you’ll visit the medieval tower of Vilanova dos Infantes, an iconic landmark that punctuates Celanova's horizon line.
5. Lobios: Public Hot Spring Pool

Our fifth stop is at Lobios, where we'll enjoy the relaxing hot waters of the public thermal pool. The surrounding landscape is magnificent with a view of the mountains that are just a few kilometres away, and the river that is just a few meters away. Having the river just beside the hot spring pool is perfect for contrast bathing. You know, getting yourself into hot water and then into cold water. This is good for increasing blood circulation and for strengthening your vascular system.

Talking about health benefits, the thermal waters that fill this pool are quite special because they originate deep down inside a geological fault. These waters emerge at almost 80°C, and they are rich in minerals and salts that are helpful to treat some dermatological and rheumatic problems.
