Get an early start with pickup from your hotel or the railway station in Agra to Bharatpur (breakfast not included).
Arrive at the World Heritage-listed Keoladeo National Park bird sanctuary, in time to watch the birds become active for the morning. Take a long and leisurely rickshaw ride through the sanctuary to look for an abundance of birds such as the egret, darter, open-bill and painted stork, white ibis, spoonbill, grey heron, Sarus crane, cormorant, migratory geese, duck, rosy pelican, Sarus crane, and the rare Siberian crane.
Take a lunch break at a local restaurant, then go on a village walking tour to see daily life in rural India. After checking out Bharatpur, drive to Agra, stopping en route to visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walled city was built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century, then was abandoned after just 14 years due to its limited water supply.
Expect to reach Agra in the evening where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or the train station.
