Have the pleasure to enjoy two wine tastings on the Lagoon of Venice.
Depart from St. Mark's area to reach Sant’Erasmo island, the vegetable garden of Venice. Here some important vineyards have been created to produce a tasty white wine. This tasting is in a garden facing the lagoon among fruit trees and cultivated grounds. Get back on board proceed along Sant’Erasmo island to reach the small and picturesque island of Mazzorbo, connected by a wooden bridge to the more famous Burano. In Mazzorbo lies the Venissa wine resort with its ancient vegetable garden, as well as the native vineyards of Venice.
On this unique island, in fact, the ancient Venetian vines, cultivated during the Serenissima Republic, have been wisely replanted and only recently rediscovered. The wine has a slightly salty taste as grapes absorb some from the ground making it very tasty and different from Sant’Erasmo’s island white wine.
