Geeta and her mother Kamla both have a passion for traditional Punjabi food and they jointly will host your hands-on cooking lesson. Experience their traditional home and learn about Indian culinary and cultural heritage from locals.
Join them in the kitchen where you will learn to prepare 2-3 authentic Punjabi dishes such as makhni dal (lentils), traditional Punjabi butter chicken, baingan bhartha (fire-roasted eggplant with onions and tomatoes), stuffed capsicum (Geeta's signature dish of bell peppers stuffed with vegetables). Geeta and Kamla will prepare several other dishes in advance to round out the menu, such as mutter paneer (peas and Indian cheese), salad, raita, roti (bread) and rice. Enjoy the delicious meal with your hosts. Leave with new recipes, new friends, and lifelong memories.
Please note, this is not a professional cooking class, rather this experience is a visit into an authentic, local home to meet a local person and share the culture and cuisine together.
