You’ll meet your guide at our Start Point,
Voreou 10, close to the vibrant and picturesque
Monastiraki Square (and metro station) in the center of historic Athens.
After setting off, we shall continue past the Ancient Athenian Agora and the Thesion Temple to reach the main cycle lane.
From this point on, we’ll continue along the new designated cycle-only route towards the seaside. We cycle alongside the tracks of the Athens-Piraeus light rail link, following also traces of the ancient Ilissos river and passing some residential areas of the city.
Before reaching the sea, we go by the state-of-the-art cultural center of the New Opera House and National Library Buildings designed by Renzo Piano, completed in the summer of 2016, and donated to the Greek State by the Niarchos Foundation (click here for more info).
Moving on, we go over the pedestrian bridge and reach Faliro Bay and the coast esplanade. We cycle round the 2004 Olympic installations, a warship-turned-naval museum, and finally make a stop at the beach to refresh ourselves (including a swim if you so fancy!). We then return to central Athens by the same route, to enjoy a small 'meze' and refreshment on our private terrace with Acropolis view.
PLEASE NOTE: All sites that we visit are not ticketed and thus require no additional fees. Cost of entry to any historical sites is not included in the tour price.
