Private Chengdu Experience: Giant Pandas and the Sanxingdui Museum

Be ready for hotel pickup at around 9am; the exact time will be confirmed upon booking. Board your private vehicle and meet your dedicated guide, then begin the journey to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, about a half hour drive away. Once you arrive, meet the staff and begin your private tour of the facility, dedicated to panda research and conservation. You may see bears in any stage of the life cycle exploring their enclosures, snoozing, or munching on bamboo. Visit the pond with koi park and check out the resident red pandas as well.  Departing the panda base, you'll stop for lunch (own expense) at a place of your choosing. Your guide will be happy to suggest some options.  Refueled from lunch, board your vehicle again for an hour drive to Guanghan's Sanxingdui Museum. Meander through the displays featuring relics from the ancient city of Sanxingdui. You'll see bronzework from the Shu culture, one of China's oldest civilizations.  Depart Guanghan for the hour-long drive back to Chengdu, arriving around 6pm.
