This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Meet your host Kwang at her typical Phuket home, a modest but welcoming house located in central Phuket. Start your experience with a welcome drink as you introduce yourselves and learn about life in Phuket. Then join your host at Kwang on her outdoor patio, which she will transform into your cooking station, where you will learn to prepare 2-4 traditional Thai dishes together featuring family recipes passed down through Kwang’s family. Learn to make Thai green curry, classic tom yum soup, fried chicken in pandan leaf, or one of Kwang’s many other recipes from her vast Thai repertoire (if you are interested in learning to make a particular dish please note this in your booking notes). For dessert, make banana in sweet coconut milk, or Thai pumpkin custard. Learn to cook everything from scratch while hearing tips about Thai cooking, and how to recreate these recipes at home. Then head inside and enjoy your meal at Kwang’s simple welcoming dining table in their open living room.
