Enjoy traditional mountain cuisine within the park (it wouldn’t be a Portuguese tour without plenty of world-class cuisine). Explore the Gerês-Xures Transfrontier Biosphere Reserve, an area of immense natural beauty and home to a rich diversity of fauna and flora. 

Be dazzled by natural phenomena such as waterfalls and hot springs. See the region’s famous granaries (canastros) – historic structures for storing produce that have their origins in the Middle Ages.

Day 1: Arrival & Check-in at Vila do Gerês

Check-in at the Hotel depending on the time of arrival, take the opportunity to walk around and explore the local shops and handicrafts in Vila do Gerês . At the end of the afternoon, have a relaxing moment with a SPA program designed for you. Dinner and night at the Hotel.
Day 2: Jeep Tour with Lunch Included

• On this day , take a break from the car , and come  to know the secrets of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, with those who know it best, with a Jeep Tour, where several discoveries and experiences are guaranteed throughout the day. •  After breakfast, the guide will be waiting for you at reception. On this tour, be enchanted by waterfalls,  lakes and  rivers with crystal clear water, as well as scenic roads and mountain viewpoints , perfect for an unforgettable photographic record. It will then be time to taste the cuisine and local products , with lunch in a regional restaurant.  •  During the day, you will also have the opportunity to visit several villages and mountain places , where life has its own rhythm. •  At the end of the day, return to the accommodation. Dinner and night at the Hotel.
Day 3: Self-Drive Panoramic Routes with Premium Lunch + Nature Activities with Guide

• After an invigorating breakfast, set off to discover the roads and charms of Campo do Gerês , considered by many to be the “heart” of the Park. • Take the Lamas panoramic road , which connects Vila do Gerês to Campo do Gerês. Take it slow and easy, because in addition to the winding mountain curves, this 14km road is full of incredible viewpoints and top spots for wonderful photos.  •  Once in Campo do Gerês, visit the museum complex of Geira Romana and the Ethnographic Museum of Vilarinho da Furna , and get to know the history of the local populations as well as their legacy and traditions. •  It will be time to enjoy lunch and local cuisine in one of the selected restaurants. • After that, it will be time to experience a  short , circular walk of about two hours, on one  of the many marked trails, always accompanied by a certified local nature guide.  • Finally, on your way back to your hotel, stop and relax at the Sanctuary of São Bento da Porta Aberta , the second largest pilgrimage site in Portugal, and take the opportunity to take some beautiful photographs of the Caniçada reservoir and the Rio Caldo Marina.
Day 4: Full Day Self-Drive: Lobios - Lindoso - Soajo - Germil - Brufe

• After an invigorating breakfast at the hotel, set off to discover the Gerês-Xurés transborder Biosphere Reserve, visiting some of the most beautiful natural phenomena such as the São Miguel Waterfall and the hot springs of Lobios ( ideal for bathing – with the exception of summer), and traditional mountain villages in the park , still alive and preserving their customs and traditions. •  After a stop in Lobios, return along the Lima River to the Portuguese lands, and then it will be time for the  mandatory stop in the village of Lindoso, known for its Castle and granaries. • This is the ideal place to enjoy a regional lunch. • After lunch and a short walk through the castle and alleys of Lindoso, head to Aldeia do Soajo, one of the most beautiful examples of rurality and typical villages in the Peneda-Gerês National Park. •  Continue to Entre-os-Rios, discover the beautiful reservoirs and bridges, and follow the mountain road to Germil, a beautiful village nestled in the fertile mountains of Serra Amarela. Continuing the route, you will also discover the village of Brufe , less than 5km from the Vilarinho da Furna dam. • At the end of this day of visits to the picturesque villages of the park, discovering their ancestral traditions , calmly return to the Hotel enjoying the colors of nature at the end of the day.
Day 5: Check-out | Optional activities

• After an invigorating breakfast, it will be time for check-out and departure from Vila do Gerês. • Depending on the time available, possibility of carrying out various recreational activities, of an optional nature . • Return home and end of the trip.

Cancellations & Refunds

Flexible and Family-friendly Policy

In case the reservation is rescheduled to a later date, the amount already paid is guaranteed but also the rescheduling of the reservation will not have any additional cost.

In case of cancellations made up to 24 hours before the starting time of the Van Tour, a refund of 100% of the amount paid is guaranteed.

In case of no-show or cancellation made less than 24 hours before the starting time of the Van Tour, there will be no refund.
