Prague Vltava River Sightseeing Cruise

Choose your cruise option when you book, and travel independently to the cruise jetty on the Vltava River in the center of Prague. Step on your comfortable boat, and take in the views from the water. Along the way, enjoy refreshments (own expense) from the onboard bar and listen to the audio commentary to glean interesting facts about the passing sights. Audio commentary is not available on the longer cruise. Both cruises start from and end at the same point. Short Cruise: Find a spot on deck or inside the cozy cabin, and absorb the sights on a journey along the Vltava through Prague’s medieval center. Snap photos as you pass massive Prague Castle, from where the spires of St. Vitus Cathedral rise into the sky, and drift under statue-lined Charles Bridge, the city’s iconic, 14th-century stone bridge. Pass other photo-worthy sights, including the magnificent National Theatre, Old Town Bridge Tower and Rudolfinum. Catch sight of the intriguing Prague Metronome, a contemporary steel sculpture that marks the time from a hilltop, and then return to the starting point, where your cruise finishes. Long Cruise: Settle aboard and drink in Prague’s landmarks and monuments on a leisurely cruise. Follow the shorter cruise route before continuing further south along the river past some of the city’s lesser-known sights. Float under the arched Jirásek and Palacký Bridges and enjoy wonderful, panoramic views of Prague’s medieval quarter as your boat pulls further away. Navigate the Smichov Canal Lock and admire Vyšehrad Citadel, dominated by the twin spires of the Basilica and St. Peter and St. Paul. Have your camera ready, too, for the extraordinary Dancing House: a curvy, 1990s building nicknamed ‘Fred and Ginger’ for resembling the shape of a pair of ballroom dancers. Your trip ends when you dock back at the jetty.
