Summary

Hike from Santa Margherita to Portofino (1h45’ ca) Gain in elevation ca 1000 ft; Hiking distance: ca 3,2 ml. A beautiful, not too strenuous hike along one of the most scenic and various trails of the Nature Park. The trail climbs gradually through the countryside, characterized by terraced olive groves. Along the way, you will pass an old watermill, now a little restaurant: the perfect place for a refreshing stop and for a pesto showcooking. Together, with the chef of the "Mulino del Gassetta", you will discover how to prepare the world famous Ligurian recipe, and after the laboratory, you can taste "your work" with a piece of focaccia and a good beer (realized thanks to the hops that grow on the land surrounding the mill). The descent to Portofino takes place along a little, a bit steep but very scenic, paved road.
