• Note: During summer months in rare cases of inclement weather or strikes and from late November to March, the crater of Vesuvius may be closed to visitor and it is replaced with a visit to the city of Naples with panoramic bus tour and free time.

•The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius is optional and requires a good level of general fitness to complete. The hike is uphill at a 14-degree angle and 20 minutes long (about 1 mile). The hike is prevalently on soft ground, and adequate footwear is recommended. For those who prefer a more leisurely experience, you can instead choose to enjoy a scenic and informative walking tour led by an expert geologist at Vesuvius.

• All customers should bring their own mask to the meeting point. Upon arrival in Pompeii, visitors will be subjected to temperature measurement by means of a thermoscanner. The wearing of a mask in open spaces is advised, but remains obligatory indoors, in crowded spaces and where social distancing of at least one metre cannot be guaranteed. In addition, is mandatory respecting the physical distance of 1 meter outdoors and 1.50 meters indoors, on the site and outside.
