Pompeii and Herculaneum Archaeological Tour

Seing both Herculaneum and Pompeii was great! Pickup was smooth and tour guide made him self known for pickup. Michele Maria Lamberti was excellent, very knowledgable about the tour and history of the area as an archeologist himself. Our driver of the day Giovanni was excellent and punctual for pickup and drop off. Although we found the tour very interesting and informative, the 2 hour stops in both locations was a little too long in our opinion, but also could have been due to extreme heat conditions of the day with lack of shaded areas in the exploration area. Overall would recommend the tour with our tour guide that we had! Gracie mille!

We had a wonderful full-day tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Askos Tours from Sorrento. Transportation was easy and convenient, with pickup from a local meeting point in Sorrento on a comfortable small bus. Our tour guide, Lily, was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating, informative commentary throughout the day. We spent about two hours exploring each archaeological site, which gave us plenty of time to see the highlights without feeling rushed. There was also a nice lunch stop midway through the day. We highly recommend Askos Tours, and especially Lily as a tour guide. She made the history of both sites come alive and made the entire day enjoyable and memorable!

Our guide, Michele, and driver, Giovanni, made this a fabulous day! Michele was very knowledgeable and shared much information and answered questions throughout the day at these amazing sites. The group was well-organized and timely - we kept moving but did not feel rushed during this full day. The day was very hot and lunch was a good time to cool down and be ready for the second part of the tour. I am sure I got more out of my visits to both sites than I would have on my own.

This whole tour was set up so well. In addition to the tours, yhey handled our transportation and a lunch recommendation, which was much appreciated since the whole experience is about 5 hours for Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

We booked the small group tour directly with Askos Tours, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. Our guide, Diego, was phenomenal throughout the five-hour tour. As an expert Archaeologist, he brought both ancient cities to life with storytelling, facts, and historical context. The weather was extremely hot and humid, but Diego managed it well finding shaded locations for us to pause and look around, which made the entire experience doable despite the heat. Walking through the remarkably preserved streets of Herculaneum right after Pompeii gave us a complete, unforgettable picture of this ancient history. Highly recommended!
