After pickup from your Auckland hotel, leave the city and head south along the West Coast in an air-conditioned minivan. The first stop of the day is Babich Wines, a family-run winery in the Henderson Valley, where you can sample wines grown in the valley, as well as from the Babich vineyards of Hawkes Bay and Marlborough.
Next, visit the Arataki Visitor Centre in the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, where you can learn more about the region’s geology, wildlife, and Maori heritage. Continue to Piha Beach and Karekare beach, both known for their black volcanic sands, and take a short hike to see the beautiful Karekare Waterfalls.
After lunch at a local café, spend the afternoon wine tasting, with visits to West Brook Wine in the Ararimu Valley and Kumeu River Wines along the Kumeu Wine Trail, which is famous for its chardonnay.
Finally, return to Auckland, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
