Breakfast in the morning at hotel depart at 8am, driving south from Huaraz. At 25km we will visit Recuay province, continue to Ticampampa, Catac and to Pachacoto. From here we will turn east side on an unpaved road, enjoy wonderful landscapes of highlands full of straw and cold wind and traditional with sheep herders.
After 15km we will stop next to a small lake called Patococha for bird-watching (wild ducks, andean goose caracara birds and others). Then the next stop will be at Gasified water stream with drinkable natural sprinkle water flowing underground. Then we continue to next stop to view the enormous flowers of PuyaRaymondi, and a changing colour small lake at Pumapampa. The changing color is an effect of the radiation of the sun and mineral containing rocks inside the water.
After few kilometerswe will arrive to the Pastoruri parking place. From here to get to the Ice Mountain it's about 1km. You can join an easy hike or horse back ride to get to the snow mountain of Pastoruri. Once here you will enjoy walking around and visit the Iced Lake and Ice cave. After few hours of staying in Pastoruri we drive back the same way to Huaraz arriving around 6pm.
