- Notre-Dame is an active place of worship and may occasionally close without prior notice for liturgical services. In such cases, your guide will adapt the itinerary to include an exterior visit of the cathedral and an interior visit of Saint-Séverin Church. Please note that no compensation will be provided under these circumstances.

A History Lesson
Our guide Ruth, met up with us at Odette’s in the Latin area adjacent to Notre Dame. Throughout the tour she provided us with the history of Notre Dame as well as the surrounding areas. It is remarkable how much happened over the centuries in such a small area. Who would have thought a Palace could be converted to a jail/prison where Marie Antoinette spent her final days. The reconstruction of the fire damage is not quite complete but what has been done is fabulous. We had a wonderful time and recommend anyone considering this tour choose Ruth as your guide.
