Paris Day Trip from London with Lunch Cruise

I highly recommend this tour from London to Paris on the Eurostar. The information provided was easy to follow and understand. We took the first class option on the Eurostar, the food wasn't great, but the comfort was outstanding. Upon arrival we were greeted by our tour guides and bus driver, all were professional, friendly, informative, fun and knowledgeable, but Ana went above and beyond to ensure we were extremely well looked after, she accompanied us up to the Eiffel Tower and gave us in depth information about the history of Paris and the surrounds, such a wonderful tour guide who really loves what she does and is greatly appreciated. If you get the option of going on a Seine River cruise with lunch provided, it is the most magical, beautiful experience with amazing food and drinks. The absolute highlight of our tour. There was plenty of time to explore Notre Dame and a lovely, reasonably priced souvenir shop near the Eiffel Tower. The tour guides took us back to the train station with clear instructions on how to return to London on the Eurostar. If you are thinking of booking this tour, don't hesitate, you won't regret it!!! The train was fun and the guides were excellent. Lunch on the Seine river boat was outstanding. It was exciting to see Notre Dame restored after the fire.

The tour itself was enjoyable, and Pierre, our tour guide, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, and provided a great experience throughout the day. However, I was disappointed by the communication and expectations set during the booking process through the third-party provider, TripAdvisor. The information provided prior to the tour did not accurately align with the itinerary that Pierre presented on the day of the excursion. As a result, there appeared to be a disconnect between what was advertised and the actual agenda that was followed. Based on the information received before the tour, I understood that there would be free time to explore Paris independently after the lunch cruise. Instead, following lunch, our group returned directly to the train station, and no opportunity was provided to experience Paris on our own. Unfortunately, the itinerary outlined in the confirmation email did not match the actual schedule, which led to unmet expectations and disappointment. While I greatly appreciated Pierre’s efforts and professionalism, the inconsistency in communication from the booking provider negatively impacted my overall experience.

Booked tour through Viator. Golden tours in London set up Eurostar tickets and gave itinerary in writing via email week before. However when arriving in Paris , local tour UTG stated itinerary would be different. It was a guided tour in am and free time in PM with returning on Eurostar. We had purchased separately tickets for Musee de Orangerie for Monet’s water Lillies , but now we were not ending near that museum. We were supposed to go to Notre Dame after lunch cruise on Seine River , but itinerary was reversed. If it wasn’t for Pierre who was with UTG tours it would have been terrible. But he met us after the boat tour and took us separately from the group to the Effiel tower. Explained to us how to get our own ride to the museum we had purchased tickets for, he then texted us pictures of where to meet him so we could return to the group. And get transportation to Eurostar for return to London. We were able to navigate on our own. But Golden tours didn’t provide what we expected. Thank goodness for Pierre who helped us. With UTG tours. I would suggest just booking with them. Not Golden. We also were to met our contact person at St Pancreas at 5:45 am. He was not there on time , others from our group all standing around wondering what to do. .. eventually he showed up. Not all were on the same tour package. It was chaotic getting in line for Eurostar, so much so that officials with Eurostar argued with him about us boarding and lining up. The Eurostar was amazing. , little did we know that when we arrived in Paris we would fine the tour we paid for was not going to happen.

It is a long day. Be prepared to walk, deal with crowds. However, the tour guides were lovely, Paris is an amazing city. The cruise on the river with lunch was a perfect way to see a lot of the architecture. A great taste of Paris to prepare for the next trip.
