Paddle Pals are fun, engaging, and educational kayak tours through Shell Key Preserve designed specifically for parent and child learning. Education on wildlife and marine biology, beach ecology, and geology while building adventure and safety skills, risk management and self-esteem!
Most tours include participation in civic science data collection (recording real data and sending it to real scientists!)
This experience is designed for an adult to experience with their child aged 9-12.

The weight limit is 250 pounds per person AND no more than 425 pounds combined per tandem kayak.

At Shell Key Preserve, in the Tierra Verde area, be on the lookout for manatee, dolphin, mangroves, starfish, mullet, and many other local marine life.
Seasonally (December - March) we also offer a Tarpon Springs Manatee tour! Paddle through the bayous and learn more about the historic area.
