Why take this tour?
As we settle into our riverside camp, you might opt for an evening hike while we prepare you a meal that will impress your taste buds and leave you ready for stories around the fire. The morning will begin with a hearty breakfast that will fill you up for the day of rapids ahead on the popular class III Racecourse section. We'll tackle rapids with names like The Maze, Eye of the Needle, Big Rock and the infamous Souse Hole. We will stop mid way for lunch and swimming and finish up in time to have you back at our headquarters at 2 p.m.

Online reservations require a 10% deposit at the time of booking.

This trip meets at our private, Rio Grande Headquarters which is conveniently located 1 hour north of Santa Fe and 30 min. south of Taos.

For our Rio Grande overnight trips and for groups of more than 18 participants, no refunds are offered inside of 14 days before your trip date

It is recommended but not mandatory that all our guests know how to swim.
Before you go

There is no experience required for any of our river trips. However, we encourage experience for our more difficult, Taos Box and Razorblades trips. Please feel free to call us with any concerns or questions about appropriate trips for your group.

Unfortunately, we cannot bring our furry friends on our river trips. We do not have a secure area to keep your dog at our headquarters.

Cancellation Policy

For our Rio Grande overnight trips and for groups of more than 18 participants, no refunds are offered inside of 14 days before your trip date. If you cancel outside of this time frame, you will be eligible for a full refund.
