Ostrich and Wine Pairing

A unique Wine and Ostrich pairing is now available for groups at the Cango Caves Estate at the Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn in the Southern Cape region!

Ostrich leather products are well known and highly sought after. What is not wildly acknowledge is that Ostrich meat and eggs also offer some unique culinary experiences! Combining this with great wines from arguably one on the Little Karoo’s best wine Farms, offer a memorable experience. The wine and some of the Ostrich products are also available for clients that want to purchase some!

The current menu includes the following:

Boplaas Sauvignon Blanc paired with Ostrich Egg Quiche

Boplaas Pinotage paired with Ostrich Biltong and Ostrich Droë Wors

Boplaas Cabernet Sauvignon paired with Ostrich Carpaccio, Caper and Parmesan Shaving

Boplaas Chocolate Port paired with Ostrich Egg Coffee Biscuit

Served with Home-made Bread and Butter
