Connect with your guide at a convenient meeting spot and then head out on your tour along the back roads high above Colorado Springs. While your guide navigates the rugged roads as high as 11,200 feet (3,415 meters) above sea level, you’re free to simply relax and enjoy the scenery or snap photos of the dense pine forest, babbling streams, and wide-open meadows.
As you go, keep your eyes peeled for eagles and deer—and you may even spot a cougar or bear from a distance. After you descend from the mountains in Pike National Forest, your guide returns you to your meeting spot.
For optimum comfort, dress in layers with closed-toe shoes. This tour includes wool blankets on cooler days, bottled water, sodas, and light snacks.
