Ocean Sailing on a Sail Catamaran from Ocean City

Summary

We will go through the OC Inlet (often the roughest part of the entire journey) and then let the wind dictate the triangular shape we will sail. Keep in mind that this experience is real open ocean sailing! The Captain and crew have yet to be able to control the wind and seas...although there is no lack of effort on that account! Typically June, July and August on the Atlantic Coast features gentle, rolling swells as a "sea breeze" builds throughout the day. But not everyday is "typical." This trip is, of course, weather dependent. If the captain feels that there is any risk given the conditions of a particular day, including a forecast that doesn't look promising, then the trip will be cancelled. You will receive a full refund in the event of any cancellation. Ocean sailing is something that can be a once in a lifetime experience and even a gateway into the sport of sailing. Join us and experience an incredible way to see "the other side" of Ocean City.

Why take this tour?

Join Captain Steve Butz and prepare yourself for a very different Ocean City attraction! You will depart heading out for an unforgettable sail on the Atlantic Ocean. Watch OC fade into the horizon as the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean waters surround the boat. The fun really begins when the diesel engines cut off and the boat moves along effortlessly under only the power of the wind. Yes, this trip is about sailing! Pods of dolphins, often playfully, swim right off the bow of the boat, making a once in a lifetime natural experience! If the wind allows, we will also include a short leg sailing along the OC coastline.

About operator:

We took the sunset cruise and it was an enjoyable evening. There was no sunset and the water was too choppy to sail but our captain was great. Very interesting couple. He shared some of his company ice cream which was fabulous. The only thing that would have made the cruise
