Important information
Know before you book
- The tour operates in all weather conditions; cancellations are rare.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim short distances.
Know before you go
- Wear comfortable swimwear and bring a towel.
- Arrive at the departure point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
- Parking is available at the departure point; arrive early to secure a spot.
Cancellation policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Good to know
- Please check in 30 minutes prior.
- Recommended age is 5+ based on Captains discretion and conditions permitting.
- No swimming skills are required.
- Observers and divers will be on the same boat, as long as they have booked the same time slot.
- The customer should have the physical strength and agility to descend and ascend a vertical ladder.

It was a great experience. The water was rough so we got bounced around quite a bit. The crew and the boat were great.
Disappointing Experience and Unfair Rescheduling Fee
Very frustrating experience with Shark Adventures. There was some confusion about the check-in time, but our tour was scheduled for 8:30 AM and we were at the destination at 8:30 AM. We even called the lady at the check-in shack to let her know we were there and ready to board. The GPS address in the itinerary took us to a different location a few minutes away, so we ended up checking in around 8:35 AM. We were told the boat had already left. The frustrating part is that we were driving in at 8:30 AM and did not see the boat at the port. I understand we were supposed to arrive 30 minutes early, but the itinerary made the timing look like an 8:30–10:00 AM window, which was confusing. We were there at the actual tour time, ready to board, and didn't need to use the restroom or do anything else that would have delayed us. They rescheduled us for the 11:30 AM tour and charged us a $90 rescheduling fee. We had driven almost an hour from Waikiki and then had to wait another three hours for the next boat. That was extremely frustrating. I did reach out to them first to try to resolve this before leaving a review. The actual tour was fine, but I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. A little flexibility or even a courtesy call could have easily avoided this. We chose Shark Adventures because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste. I would not recommend them based on how this was handled.
Most incredible shark dive
It was the most fantastic adventure that my wife and I had ever experienced. The weather was perfect, the people running the expedition were incredible. The sharks were plentiful. Everyone must experience at least once in your lifetime. We will surely repeat on our next trip back to Hawaii.
