Magic in the night sky with Nelu! ✨☕
I cannot say enough good things about our Northern Lights hunt with Troll Expeditions! We were so ridiculously lucky to catch an incredible show in the sky, and the whole experience was magical from start to finish. The pickup and drop-off process was seamless and totally stress-free. A huge reason the trip went so well was our guide, Nelu. He was so well-organized and extremely patient with everyone. He took tons of photos, made sure everyone got a great shot, and kept offering extra photos to anyone who wanted more—and the final pictures turned out amazing! Also, standing under the night sky with a cup of super delicious hot cocoa was such a cozy, wonderful touch. My only small suggestion for the team is to bring a small waste basket along so people have a place to throw away their empty hot cocoa cups instead of leaving litter in the parking lot. Overall, an unforgettable night! Thank you Nelu and Troll Expeditions for such a great experience.
waste of money
Never took us out, charged us anyway. First night they cancelled due to bad weather, second night they went ahead despite weather (combined weather & northern light forecsat) being worse. I'd book a trip on the day with your hotel when there's a good forecast.
Great guide made it a great night!
Our driver/tourguide Josef was fantastic! Even though Mother Nature didn't cooperate and we weren't able to clearly see the Northern Lights during our tour, it certainly wasn't' due to a lack of effort of Josef's behalf. He took us to multiple sites, shared lots of interesting facts about Iceland during the drive, and warmed us up with piping hot cocoa as well. Our thanks to him for all that he did to provide a great experience.
Aurora dancing
Mother nature does dictate your experience, but we got lucky the sky was clear for us able to see some aurora light. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice. We were very pleased with the whole trip.

Amazing night for the Aurora!! Iosef provided great photos and the night was amazing!! Made sure we had plenty of time for Aurora watching and nature did not disappoint!
