Learn the basics of surf and coastal photography in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners ready to go beyond auto mode. You'll explore camera gear setup, composition, lighting, and both beach and in-water shooting techniques. Using your own camera, we’ll practice with semi-automatic and manual modes to capture sharp or blurred backgrounds and understand how to control natural light. Key concepts like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, depth of field, and movement (frozen vs. motion blur) will be broken down simply. You'll also get familiar with camera buttons and functions—empowering you with creative control to take better, more intentional surf and landscape photos.
