New2SUP is a 90 min session to teach you the basics of Stand Up Paddle Boarding

We launch from The Boatshed in Golant and return to the same spot after paddling out on the River Fowey for a 90 minutes paddle board tuition session. Depending on your experience level your instructor will take you through staying safe on the water and how to handle your board. You will then start by kneeling and paddling to get a feel for the water and your equipment. Your instructor will show you the technique required to stand on your board but only when you are ready! Our sessions are fun and informative and as a locals your instructors have a first hand knowledge of the river and will work with you to increase your confidence and help you get the most out of your session. Turning techniques can be tricky so expect to get wet, or as we say "if you don't fall in your not trying hard enough". The objective behind this 90 minute session is to give you water confidence and get you standing, paddling and maneuvering your board safely.
