National Park
Early pickup at the hotel by a very knowledgeable and lovely guide - Sathia. She made sure we could stop and buy drinks, coffee, and some snacks. Also set up the chairs so we could sleep a little on the 3-hour journey to Taman Negara. Combined with her expertise and chattiness, the trip went wonderfully. We took the boat to the platform from where the canopy walk started. Our guide for the Hafifi tour was knowledgeable and encouraging if one was worried. Remember to bring plenty of water. A lot of stairs that can be strenuous in the heat. You see no animals but experience the jungle. If you have it in your head, you get a better understanding of the next activity. We took the boat to a village with indigenous people. Sovereign guide who was very knowledgeable. Really interesting and educational. The one who wanted got to try the blowpipe. Boat trip back and then a nice lunch at the Jetty. Sathia came and picked us up and we had a good trip home. The son got sick so we had to stop on the way and she was very helpful!! Thank you very much!
Nature and culture!
Pleasant driver Sathia and good guide in Taman Negra. The canopy walk was a bit too "chatty" and we didn't see any animals, but it was an exciting experience. The boat trip, visiting the natives, and lunch were very good!

Me and my two best friends made a daytrip to taman negara. Satesh our guide contacted us a day before and gave us all the important information for the trip. We got picked up from our hotel and he was more than on time. The car was super clean, we never felt so comfortable in a ,,taxi‘‘ before. He let us sleep and when we had questions he answered. It didnt feel like a guide and a customer conversation, it felt like talking to a friend. Also he gave us so many tips about malaysia, what we need to try and what we need to do here, additionally he bought us traditional malaysian food, which was very tasty. Thank you Satesh for a unforgetable day in malaysia. And just after we got home and texted us to give us tips about our next trips to penang. Never had a guide that was more engaged than him.
